For me, the best Motown read is Bill Dahl's track-by-track notes to the Complete Motown Singles sets. He should publish them in book form for the benefit of those who don't have the box sets. Otherwise, not too much new since that thread in I read bios of the Marvelettes, Florence Ballard, and the Supremes.
